Sustainability

The good news is that plastics are sustainable when they are circular. By applying the circular economy and its three main principles – the 3R’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle –, it is possible to save both environmental and financial resources in industrial plastic packaging worldwide. Here is how.

The 3R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle

Reduce

Designing out plastic waste and pollution

Plastic materials are often chosen for packaging applications that require toughness and impact resistance thanks to their enhanced durability, which in turn guarantees product safety. The significant light weight and design freedom make it a versatile material that reduces the costs of shipping and transportation. More importantly, these features allow for considerable energy and space savings, besides reducing cost and CO2 emissions.

Reuse

Keeping plastics in continuous use

Understandably, not all products can be packed in recycled packaging due to high product protection demands. However, it is estimated that at least 20% of plastic packaging can be reused multiple times until its quality deteriorates (ScienceDirect).

Recycle

Regenerating natural systems

A properly functioning recycling market creates a circular, closed-loop ecosystem that helps to divert both landfills and ocean-bound plastic. A crucial step towards this goal is to recycle plastic that cannot be reused anymore. in fact, most plastic packaging can be fully recyclable up to 6 times, if disposed of correctly (British Plastic Federation), thus enormously reducing carbon emissions.

At MS Thakarwal , we’re committed to reducing our environmental footprint .

Sustainable Products

Producing a huge range of eco-friendly packaging.

Our eco-packaging range includes biodegradable and compostable products that leave no harmful waste behind, whilst we also produce a huge range of recyclable products and packaging made from 100% recycled material.

Our Garbage bags products consists of a minimum 35% recycle content.

We purchase domestic plastic waste and carry out in-house recycling in order to factilitate for our garbage bag raw material consumption.

Sustainable Production

Operating a 100% recycling principle to minimise waste and recycle all material we can; All our waste generated is in-house recycle. These recycle resin is used back into making our range of products .We are always looking ways to reduced the following areas in order to lower our carbon footprint :
  • Production Waste.
  • Electrical Consumption – We only used high efficiency motors with inverters as ways to bring down our electrical consumption.
  • Water Consumption – Have in Build a Rain Water Harvest station in the factory as one of our efforts to reduce water consumption.

Sustainable Programs

Our Plastic Goals - By 2030 we will,

  • Reduced the amount of virgin plastic we use in our packaging by 50%.
  • Collect and process more plastic waste packaging by 35%.
  • Ensure that 100% of our plastic packaging is designed to be fully reusable , recyclable or compostable.
  • Use 50% recycled plastic into our packaging.
